St Mary’s Church Building Temporarily Closed

The Church Council has taken the  decision  to close St Mary’s church building forthwith due to the Coronavirus situation. That means there will be no services in the building and the church will not be open for private prayer during the week.

This decision was not taken lightly, but with the responsibility to take the government message to ‘Stay at Home’ very seriously and in the light of the escalating infection, we decided to close.  This decision will also protect volunteers who help run services.

The Church Council will review the situation at the next PCC meeting on 10 February.

This Sunday

In the light of the above notice, we are, effectively back to the situation during the first lockdown last April.  The service will be livestreamed on the church Facebook page at 10.15am and can be accessed HERE.

Morning prayer takes place Wednesday-Saturday at 9am. This is also livestreamed on the church Facebook page.

Full risk assessments have been completed in line with Government and Church of England guidelines
