St Mary’s is the Parish Church near the centre of Liss, Hampshire.  In normal times we offer a range of different worship opportunities from All-Age services and ‘Messy Church’ to BCP Holy Communion and Evensong.  Of course, we are not in ‘normal times’ and we, along with the rest of the world, have had to adjust to the challenges of the pandemic. Details of our online services are below but whether we are online or ‘in the flesh’, we endeavour to provide a warm and inclusive welcome to everyone. If you are interested in knowing more about us and what we do in more normal times, details of services and activities can be found on this site.  Please do contact us if you want further information.

We know that these are financially tough times for many. For those who can give, we are very grateful. Your donations are a crucial part of enabling the work of St Mary’s Church: to make the light, life, and love of God known in our world.

Please remember to gift aid your donation if you are a UK taxpayer, as that will allow us to claim an extra 25p on every £1 that you give.

Stepping Stones is back!

Exactly two years ago Stepping Stones, our popular baby and toddler group, transferred to the Pavilion while St Mary’s was being renovated. Covid struck just as we were preparing to return, and we have had an enforced absence of 18 months. Now, at last, we can return to our brighter, warmer and more inviting building – but you’ll have to be the judge of that. More importantly, we have a team of people, waiting to offer good St Mary’s hospitality to you and your children, and we are all looking forward to being together again – or, for the first time! Just turn up.

Obviously we all still need to be mindful of covid – people’s choice to wear masks respected, hand sanitiser readily available, use own travel mug – we’ll still provide refreshments. See you soon!

10.15am  Parish Communion service using the Common Worship book
People can receive bread and wine or a blessing at the altar.  There  are Sunday groups for children 0-10.   Children are in church for the beginning of the service, then, after the first hymn, they go to their groups: There is a staffed creche room for 0-3s  in church; children age 4-10 meet in the parish Office.  After the service, there are refreshments and all are welcome to stay.

Exalt @ St Mary's Church
Oct 24 @ 6:30 pm

Exalt is our contemporary worship service here at St Mary’s

The monthly informal worship Exalt re-starts in September. We shall aim to be people

  • Seeking to come together to glorify God, through creative informal worship
  • Open to the Holy Spirit and his gifts, encouraging one another through mutual sharing

As previously Exalt will be held on the fourth Sunday of each month. However it will be at 6.30pm (previously it was 7.00pm). We are taking the opportunity of a re-launch to drop the colon out of its name.
